SUMMER LEARNING REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
Parents and guardians must register their children by Friday, May 31st, 2024.
This year, we will have 12 programs running at four schools; Ogden, Algonquin, Vance Chapman, and Sherbrooke. The programs are as follows:
- Two camps for Pre-K to Year 1 students. This will be for students entering Kindie in the fall, or those who have just finished Year 1. There are 20 spots per camp. These two camps will run at Sherbrooke and Algonquin.
- Two camps for Year 2 to grade 1 students. This will be for students entering Year 2 or transitioning to grade 1. There are 20 spots per camp. These two camps will run at Sherbrooke and Algonquin.
- Three primary camps for grades 2 and 3. This will be for students entering into grades 2-3. There are 20 spots per camp. These three camps will be running at Sherbrooke, Ogden and Algonquin.
- Two junior camps, for students entering grades 4-6. There are 25 spots per camp. These two camps will run at Sherbrooke and Algonquin.
- Two intermediate camps. These will be for students entering into grade 7-8 (possibly with some 6’s, depending on interest). There are 25 spots per camp. These two camps will run at Vance and Ogden.
Pre-K / K: a Kindergarten readiness camp designed to help children in developing essential skills while fostering their curiosity and creativity. Students will participate in activities to promote social skills like sharing, taking turns, and working together, as well as gross and fine motor development and basic literacy and numeracy skills. Discussions, stories, and activities focused on identifying and expressing feelings will also be a focus.
Year 1 – Year 2: The focus will be on developing overall communication and social skills, development of fine and gross motor skills, self-regulation, and basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Primary: This camp is designed with our young learners in mind. With a focus on building foundational literacy and numeracy skills, these students will be immersed in fun learning activities that are both hands-on and intentional.

Junior: This camp is designed with our youth in mind. With a focus on solidifying literacy and numeracy skills through both explicit teaching and experiential learning opportunities.

Intermediate: This camp is uniquely designed to support developing literacy learning in the upper elementary grades, while immersing students in a variety of experiential, land-based, and skill building learning opportunities (such as cooking, carpentry, technology, arts, etc.).
